Above all, we are people who have been changed by the love and belonging we have found in Jesus. We try to embody this through our shared life in community. Our vision for community centers the open table where God invites all to come and receive the gift of grace through Jesus Christ. While we hold a diversity of opinions and backgrounds, we are unified in our love for God and one another.
At its best, the church is a place where people find spiritual and emotional healing. We strive for our community to be a safe, trauma-informed space where people can be vulnerable and grow in self awareness and spiritual maturity. We support healthy, honest relationships where all people feel seen, heard, and understood.
Our community grows out of the soil of the Wesleyan and Free Methodist tradition which proclaims that God's Good News is for everyone and calls us to freedom, justice, equality and real spiritual transformation. We want our lives to be rooted and shaped by this Good News of the Bible. Our lives are also nourished by the witness and practices of God's diverse church throughout time and across cultures, and we live our lives with the help and guidance of our foremothers and forefathers in faith.
Flowing through all we do is our faith that there's more than enough for all of us through God’s love and provision. God's love is expansive and generous, and we embody this love through our relationships, our resources, our welcome, our theology and our empathy. As we practice our faith, we hope to more genuinely share the love of God with everyone we encounter.
God has created humanity for joy, freedom and flourishing. We try to reimagine our world as a place where people really do experience life as God intended. We care for one another whenever someone is in need. We advocate for the rights of our neighbors. We celebrate the gifts of meaningful work and rest. We embrace the diversity and creativity of our members in our communal worship and decision making. In all we do, we hope to make our world a little more like heaven.
